I am very proud of the Rawls College of Business, both as a prospective employer and as an alumnus. The value of my degree from the Rawls College of Business is exponentially increased with each new class of graduates. As seen in the students I have hired, their knowledge and skills are unsurpassed by any of the students we recruit at other campuses. They have proven to be exceptional employees and have given my degree and background increased notoriety and credit.

The CMC goes out of their way to meet our needs. They know what type of candidate we hire and work to make sure that the students we interview are prepared for the process. They are truly professional in all they do. Over the last couple of semesters I have seen an improvement in the students understanding of the interview process and being prepared for it. I attribute this to the staff of the CMC.
I pride myself to see how many TTU students are working for us, and I want to continue to hire great students. I really enjoy returning each semester to see how the applicant pool continues to improve.
As our business continues to grow we need more and more great students to fill those needs. I value what the Career Center does for that need and would highly recommend them to other recruiters.

Every year I go to Texas Tech to recruit, it makes me proud to be an alumnus. I am particularly excited about a new professional development course that the accounting department is starting in the fall. The majority of students we hire are in Texas Tech's MSA - 150 hour program, which enrollment has continued to increase. With accounting being one of the top recruited fields from universities, we would like to see the increased enrollment trend continue. Accounting is a profession full of opportunity to start and finish a career, and I believe Texas Tech is developing some of the future leaders of our profession.
Over the last ten years I have seen a significant increase in the number of public accounting firms recruiting at Texas Tech, which only gives students more great choices for their careers, and is a testament to the success of Red Raiders in public accounting. I would recommend other public accounting firms recruit at Texas Tech if interested in hiring some of the best and brightest students available. Once firms recruit at Texas Tech, I think they realize they need more Red Raiders working for them.
Students graduating from Texas Tech have an excellent academic foundation to build from as a result of the great professors at the university and the time and effort those professors invest in developing every student individually. Students also come away from Texas Tech knowing that the working world does involve work. The work ethic of students from Texas Tech in my opinion can not be exceeded, which is an absolute necessity for a successful career.

It is incredible to return to the college and see what the placement center is offering the students in the college. I know the Rawls College of Business is doing everything they can to make a graduate available for the workforce. They are also reaching many industries and segments that previously would not have been touched by an individual student. With the varying degree plans that are know available, a student can focus in on a company or a segment of the business world that previously would not have been touched by a Texas Tech Graduate.
I think it is extremely important to recruit and hire students from Tech. Not only do you know that they have received a quality education but they generally have a work ethic second to none. As an employer, having an immediate bond with an employee is very important in them being able to feel comfortable in their job. That bond being Texas Tech makes it that much more meaningful.

We are fortunate to have Texas Tech University in our 'backyard' and specifically the exceptional resources made available through TTU's Rawls College of Business Career Management Center. The management and professionals at the Career Management Center are knowledgeable, taken the time to understand CareVu's business (and its sister companies), recommend internship opportunities and provide CareVu information on Career Expo's held each semester. Our overall experience with the Career Management Center has been exceptional!
The best advantage that CareVu Corporation has in recruiting at the Rawls College of Business are the professionals and resources made available to us by the Career Management Center. The on-line functionality of 'Rawls Connect' and ability to specify the educational discipline, GPA and other criteria as well as the ease of use makes the recruitment process streamlined and results in better candidates for CareVu Corporation.

It is very powerful and inspiring to know that alumni and local businesses are encouraged to look at and recruit from the University. I have seen the College make huge strides in the focus and execution of career placement within the College of Business.
I graduated from Texas Tech University with my BSME in 1997 and my MBA in 1999, and working with the CMC over the last few years, the progression has been exponential compared to what it had been.
The importance of recruiting students from the Rawls College of Business is very high to me. Being from the West Texas area, and having my undergraduate in mechanical engineering and graduate MBA degree from Texas Tech, recruiting from the College is very important in keeping top talent and diverse applicants in the pools for jobs in the West Texas area. I would definitely recommend working with and recruiting from the Rawls College of Business.

For us ,the CMC has been a proven ground for finding hard-working, innovative young people who seek to get into finance through either an internship or a first job. Through the CMC, we've found very hard-working innovative, resourceful kids that I would put against anybody in the country."
Hiring good people is a lot of work. It is much easier when part of the process has been delegated and they organize and do some of the work for you. The Rawls College of Business does that. It takes a proactive approach to hiring, which is what doing business in today's world is all about."

It's very satisfying to return to your alma mater and be able to see such forward progress as far as career placements go. When I was in school, it wasn't much of an option to use a career center. Very few companies from the professional world recruited on campus. The majority of student's job searching had to be done on their own and I'd venture to say that more often than not students settled for jobs below their potential because they didn't have the resources to help them. That's all different now!
I truly believe the more students Tech can place in good jobs with solid, well-known companies, the better Tech's reputation will be. It's absolutely paramount to the success of the school. A primary focus of every institution, right alongside education, should be that its students get the best jobs possible when they graduate.

"The questions I have had regarding the students and interview schedules have been answered promptly. Everyone I have come into contact with that is associated with the Career Management Center is responsive, energetic and eager to help the students and potential employers.
